Responsibilities
Managing the financial, accounting, operations, funding, and cash-flow functions of the organisation; managing financing and revenue projects.
Overseeing all areas of transactions, commission allocation, net profit/loss, and obtaining consensus on the needed features required by all business units to its design, development, testing, and usage.
Transactions within the firm’s accounts with FCA-regulated brokers, as well as client money accounts held with local and international banks, are monitored and reported on a regular basis.
Divisional head in charge of financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, profit and loss optimization, and payroll administration, including sales compensation, pension, and bonus schemes.
Creating and implementing solutions to ensure compliance with present and emerging regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Applicants must have previously served as the Finance Officer for DFSA financial reporting.
The selected candidate is anticipated to have a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA).
As this post will need daily engagement with foreign finance colleagues and stakeholders, prior experience working for an international institution in a developed market (i.e. London/HK/Singapore/New York) is desired.
Understanding of global markets and familiarity with traded financial instruments (e.g. listed derivatives, equities, OTC products, structured products, etc).
It is preferable to have prior experience working for a multinational financial institution in a developed area.
