Job Description:

The Fire and Rescue Services of Kerala Government are seeking dynamic and dedicated individuals to join their team as Fire and Rescue Officers (Driver)(Trainee) and Fire and Rescue Officers (Trainee). This is a remarkable opportunity to contribute to the safety and well-being of the citizens of Kerala by actively participating in fire prevention, rescue operations, and emergency response activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Responding promptly and efficiently to fire and emergency calls across Kerala.
2. Conducting search and rescue operations during fire incidents, accidents, and other emergencies.
3. Operating fire-fighting equipment and vehicles, including driving fire engines safely to the incident sites.
4. Providing first aid and medical assistance as required.
5. Educating the public on fire safety and prevention measures.
6. Conducting regular training sessions and drills for the public and fellow team members.
7. Maintaining and inspecting fire-fighting equipment and vehicles to ensure readiness.
8. Collaborating with other emergency services and agencies to ensure coordinated response efforts.
9. Documenting incident reports, maintaining accurate records, and preparing detailed reports.
10. Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines during operations and training.
11. Participating in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
12. Promoting teamwork, discipline, and a culture of safety within the department.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Minimum educational qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
2. Valid heavy motor vehicle driving license for Fire and Rescue Officer (Driver)(Trainee).
3. Physical fitness and agility to perform firefighting and rescue tasks effectively.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
5. Knowledge of fire prevention and safety procedures is desirable.
6. Ability to work in shifts and during emergencies, including weekends and holidays.
7. Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and commitment to public service.
8. Proficiency in Malayalam and English languages.
